Follow along to see how easy it can be to make a great lamb stew! Ingredients list and instructions are below. THESE VIDEOS WILL GET BETTER, I PROMISE :)
-2 lbs of Pure Pastures lamb stew meat
-salt & pepper
*you can use white wine or all stock if you don’t like to use wine. I’ll never know.
**if you don’t have bacon grease on hand, I’m sorry. You can use tallow, lard, or ghee in it’s place. In a pinch, avocado or extra virgin olive oil will do.
-preheat over to 350°
-in a Dutch oven, sear meat in batches until brown
-put meat aside and sauté carrots, onions, and celery in the pot. Add garlic once onions soften
-add tomato paste and continue to sauté for a minute or so
-add flour into veggies and cook for 1-3 minutes to form a roux
-add liquid(s) to the pot
-add meat back to the pot, cover, and put in oven for 1 hour
-take pot out of the oven, add mushrooms, and put back in oven for 30 mins (or until meat is tender)
